Summer Quarter at the University of Washington has something for everyone. Current UW students, those visiting from other U.S. colleges, adults and working professionals, international students and high school students are all invited to come join us and make the most of your summer.

Current UW Students

Summer Quarter is a perfect time for current UW students to keep learning. You can fulfill prerequisites or take care of general requirements, get ahead or catch up on courses for your major, dive into a foreign language or just explore something new. If you’re an incoming freshman, you can get a head start on your first year.

Visiting U.S. College Students

Back from college or visiting Seattle on your summer break? Visiting U.S. college students can explore all that the UW has to offer and earn academic credit at the same time with our wide selection of Summer Quarter courses.

Adults and Professionals

If you’re an adult or working professional, UW Summer Quarter has something for you. Whether you’re looking to learn a foreign language, advance your career, explore something new or simply be a college student again, UW Summer Quarter is the perfect time to take the plunge.

International Students

International students can take summer courses at the UW. Get the American college experience at a top-ranked university and enjoy the beautiful summer weather in the Pacific Northwest.

U.S. High School Students

U.S. high school students can get the UW experience with Summer Quarter. Find out what college classes are really like as you learn from top faculty and study alongside current UW students and others. For younger students, we also offer UW Summer Youth Programs.
