Enrolling as a summer-only student at the University of Washington is easy – simply follow the steps below. Current UW students should register for Summer Quarter courses through MyUW.
The steps below are for summer-only students who are not currently seeking a degree at the UW. Enrollment in Summer Quarter as a summer-only student does not constitute admission to the UW. To apply for admission as a degree-seeking student, visit the UW Admission Web site.
Step 1: Complete the Summer-only Application Form
- Download a Summer-only Application Form (PDF). Return your completed form in person or by mail to the UW Registration Office, 225 Schmitz Hall, Box 355850, Seattle, WA 98195-5850 (see map).
A $60 nonrefundable application fee must accompany your application. Students are generally admitted upon submission of the form and fee. Applications may take up to two weeks to process. If you have questions about your application, contact the Registration Office at 206-543-8580.
* After June 1, please use the PDF form and do not apply online. High school students may not apply online at any time and must use the PDF form.
Step 2: Enrollment Confirmation Acknowledgement arrives via mail
The UW Registration Office will mail you an Enrollment Confirmation Acknowledgement containing your UW ID number and personal access code (PAC), which you will need to register for your Summer Quarter course. You'll also receive registration guidelines.
Step 3: Register
Once you have your UW ID number and personal access code (PAC), you can use MyUW to register online for your Summer Quarter course. Registration for summer-only students opens April 16, 2014, and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
