Learn about the use of technology in the secure collection and maintenance of personal health data. Improve the delivery of health care with the latest methods and technologies for the collection, organization, use, and evaluation of health care information. Understand legal, regulatory, and compliance issues, and study finance management. Develop health care management and leadership skills. This certificate program is twelve-months long and may be competed in one or two years.

  • Health care computer systems and electronic health records

  • Quality assurance and research in health care
  • Hands-on management experience gained by completing a formal project in health information administration

You will have the specialized skills necessary to effectively manage health information technology in a variety of settings, including health care organizations, consulting firms, government, research, technology, insurance, and marketing. At the end of this program, you will be eligible to take Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) exam.
