Develop the skills necessary to be an effective guardian of developmentally disabled adults, elderly individuals with diminished capacity, adults with acquired disabilities due to trauma/stroke, and other adults who have been declared "incapacitated" by Washington state courts.
This program is offered in an online + classroom format, a blend of in-person lecture and online learning.

- Fiduciary responsibilities of the guardian
- Navigation of the social and health services system on behalf of your clients
- Legal and regulatory frameworks governing guardianship
- Guardianship ethics, constructive problem solving, and business operations
Benefits
You will gain practical knowledge and training in the responsibilities and limitations of guardians for both the incapacitated person and his or her estate. Successful completion of this program meets the initial educational requirement of the Washington State Supreme Court CPG Board as one of the prerequisites to become a CPG.
